FAMILY-FRIENDLY
WINTER FUN
SINCE 1951

WE ARE A SKI AREA, NOT A SKI RESORT

The difference is culture. The difference is community. You won't find mega passes, crowded slopes or over priced food. Instead, you'll find low-priced tickets on classic wickets, friendly volunteers, skiers and snowboarders sharing the slopes, and everyone enjoying homemade food or brown bag lunches in the lodge around the central fire place.

When you visit Sitzmark you experience skiing at its best and become a part of the community and legacy that keeps this non-profit (501c4) area alive and spinning!

GIVE THE GIFT OF YOUR TIME

Since it was founded in 1951, Sitzmark Ski Area has been able to spin its lift thanks to the generosity of volunteers.

From lodge staff and ski and snowboard instructors to ski patrol and lift operations, it's our volunteers who help create the unique experience that keeps skiers and snowboarders coming back to Sitzmark.

The gift of time is one of the most important when it comes to ensuring that Sitzmark continues to operate. Is it a commitment? Yes. Will you learn new skills? Certainly. Do you get access to season pass and day ticket perks? You know it!

🧒 LESSONS & PROGRAMS

Learn with patient, friendly instructors who love sharing the joy of snow. Sitzmark’s rope-tow learning zone is perfect for beginners, and our group and private lessons offer a safe, supportive way to build confidence.

🏁 EVENTS & COMMUNITY

Sitzmark is more than a ski hill — it’s a winter gathering place. Join us for opening day celebrations, races, work parties, craft fairs, and the annual Altai Skis Demo & Hok Festival.

🏔️ SITZMARK SKI CLUB

The Sitzmark Ski Club is the heart of our mountain community — a group of members, families, and supporters who help guide the future of Sitzmark Ski Area through active participation and annual dues.

Joining the Ski Club means more than just supporting the hill — it means becoming part of the decision-making that keeps Sitzmark strong and sustainable. Members are invited to annual meetings, volunteer work days, and community events that shape each season.
